In this beautiful newly constructed house in Sweden the owners have chosen to install their Spiral Cellar in the dining area with sea view.

In a beautiful villa at the outskirts of Aarhus, Denmark, the owners decided to build a orangery as their house extension. In connection with the construction process, we were asked if we could supply and install a Spiral Cellar with very short notice.

Once the hole is lined with the waterproofing membrane and the concrete floor in the bottom is hardened up, we can build the cellar, module by module, and the water will no longer be a nuisance to the process. The water will never be able to penetrate the membrane, so the cellar stays dry for the rest of its life.

What do you do with the extra rooms in the house when the kids have moved away from home and you don't really want to move from the neighborhood you are so happy to live in? The owners of this villa have found a really nice and exclusive solution to this.

With a glass trap door and light underneath each step the cellar is now a sculptural element in the interior design and it fits perfect with their modern kitchen and living room.

The Cellar is model White with a depth of 2.5 metres and can contain 1,450 bottles of wine. It is installed with a rectangular trap door with frame and has integrated light under each step and in the floor.

Looking out of the window of this fantastic house in Sweden, you will see a lake and mountains. Inside the house the view is just as beautiful with its round Spiral Cellar in the kitchen-dining area.

The cellar is the model White with a depth of 2.25 m and can contain 1,360 bottles of wine. The trap door is a mix of two different types.

Before the installation took place, the client had constructed a concrete chamber for the Spiral Cellar while doing other construction work on their new home. The wine cellar is model White and has a depth of 2 metres.

The new villa was built on the shore of a beautiful lake in Sweden in 2017. The excavation of the house foundation and hole for the Spiral Cellar was done at the same time. It is the most practical and economical thing to while the larger machinery is on site.

The cellar is installed in an expat couple’s holiday house in Denmark. The cellar has a concealed trap door which makes it look integrated with the floor and is as such one of the couple’s best kept secrets.

The contractor was in charge of the ground preparation, so the hole was ready for us when we arrived. After adding shutter rings to the hole, which are supposed to protect our work space, and hold the surrounding soil in place, we could commence the fitting of the Spiral Cellar.

In this project we were challenged by space. Although the kitchen is 11 m2, its L-shape and an already established kitchen, made our working space during the excavation and construction of the Spiral Cellar, quite limited.

This project was not about a house extension nor a new home, instead we were involved in a total make-over of an existing utility room. During the excavation work we had to work with a high water table, which is actually not that unusual for us.

The first Spiral Cellar we built in Norway was in the mountains. Preparing the ground for a Spiral Cellar required the use of dynamite to clear the rocky area.

In what was initially intended as a garage, but turned out to be impossible to access with a car due to a strange driveway design, the family chose to find a completely different use of the space.
